Special Requirements / Payment Terms
- Installation by BHQ only: For safety and to prevent damage, lighting is installed, adjusted, and removed by BHQ team members only. Clients/guests must not install, move, or tamper with lights or cabling.
- Power access: A standard power outlet is required within a reasonable distance of the install area. If power is limited, advise us before booking so we can plan cable routing.
- Safe fixing points required: You must have suitable attachment points available (e.g., marquee frame, beams, posts, pergola, fence line). We will not attach to unsafe/unstable structures.
- Access for delivery & install: Clear access is required from our vehicle to the install area. Tell us in advance about stairs, narrow gates/doors, long carry distances, or restricted venue bump-in times.
- Height & clearance: We install lighting at a safe height with clearances for walkways/entries. You must keep the area clear so we can install safely.
- Cable safety / trip hazards: Cables will be routed to minimise trip hazards. If the venue requires specific cable management (taping/covering), advise us prior to install.
- Weather conditions: Outdoor installs are weather dependent. We may delay, modify, or refuse installation in heavy rain, strong wind, or lightning for safety and equipment protection.
- Keep away from heat/flames: Lighting must be kept clear of BBQs, heaters, open flames, and fire pits. Heat damage is chargeable.
- No water exposure: Keep lighting and plugs away from sprinklers, wet grass pooling, hoses, and high-splash areas.
- Venue approvals: If you’re booking at a venue/park, you’re responsible for any required permissions to attach lighting to structures.
- Pack-down access: You must provide access at the agreed pack-down time. Delays or restricted access may incur extra labour charges.
