These terms apply to all bookings made with us. By paying the Date Reservation Fee, you agree to the terms outlined below.
These conditions explain expectations for photo booth hire, payments, cancellations, event requirements and responsibilities for both parties.
Booking & Payments
Date Reservation Fee
A $100 Date Reservation Fee is required to secure your booking and reserve your event date.
Once your date is reserved, we decline other enquiries for that time. This fee covers administration, scheduling and preparation costs and is non-refundable. The fee is credited toward your total booking price.
If you need to change your date, we will make reasonable efforts to transfer your booking to a new date, subject to availability. If we are unavailable on the new date, the booking will be treated under the cancellation terms.
Final Payment
Full payment is due no later than 7 days before your event.
If payment is not received by this time, the booking may be cancelled and the Date Reservation Fee will not be refunded.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations
The Date Reservation Fee is non-refundable.
Cancellations more than 14 days before the event will not be charged further.
Cancellations within 14 days of the event require full payment.
If Mischief & Memories must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including the reservation fee.
Rescheduling
One reschedule is permitted with at least 14 days’ notice, subject to availability.
Your Date Reservation Fee will transfer to the new date.
If we are unavailable on the requested new date, the booking will be treated under the cancellation terms. Further reschedules may be treated as a new booking at our discretion.
Event Setup Requirements
To ensure the booth operates safely and smoothly, the following must be provided:
Minimum 3 m × 3 m space
Nearby 240 V power outlet
Flat and undercover location
Weather-safe environment
Easy access and nearby parking/loading
Pricing assumes ground-floor access within 30 metres of suitable parking. Stairs, long distances or difficult access may incur additional fees.
Operating Conditions
We may pause or stop operation if:
There are safety concerns
Guests behave inappropriately or unsafely
Power or internet issues occur
Technical faults occur
Where downtime is caused by venue conditions, power, internet or guest behaviour, no refund or additional time is required.
Equipment & Guest Behaviour
The hirer is responsible for any intentional or negligent damage to equipment caused by guests or venue conditions.
Repair or replacement costs may be charged where damage occurs.
Children using the booth must be supervised.
Photos, Media & Promotion
With your permission, we may use selected photos or short video clips from your event for promotional purposes such as:
Website
Social media
Marketing materials
You may request at any time that identifiable images are not shared publicly. This does not affect photos printed or delivered to you.
Data & Privacy
Booking and contact details are stored securely and used only to manage, deliver and follow up your booking.
Images are shared publicly only with permission.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian privacy or consumer law.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with the booking is limited to the total amount paid for the booking.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by factors outside our control, including:
Power outages
Venue access issues
Internet interruptions
Extreme weather
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Equipment Faults
If our equipment develops a fault that stops the booth operating for more than 20 minutes, we will offer either:
Extra time on the night (subject to venue approval), or
A pro-rata refund for the time lost.
This does not apply where issues are caused by venue conditions, power, internet or guest behaviour.
Additional Fees
Overtime
$50 per 30 minutes, payable before extension.
Idle Time
$50 per hour if the booth is set up but unused during scheduled hire.
Travel
Events more than 75 km from Pacific Pines may incur a travel fee.
Power & Internet
One 240 V outlet is preferred but not required.
Live sharing features depend on venue connectivity and cannot be guaranteed in all locations.
Outdoor Events
Booths must be placed in an undercover, weather-safe location at all times.
Venue Responsibilities
The hirer is responsible for ensuring:
Venue permissions are approved
Adequate power access is available
Venue rules and restrictions are followed
If access is delayed due to venue issues, operating time may be reduced without refund.
Force Majeure
If an event beyond our control (for example extreme weather, natural disaster, sudden venue closure or serious illness) prevents us from providing the service:
We will first attempt to reschedule, or
If rescheduling is not possible, we will refund amounts paid for the booking.
Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Indemnity
The hirer is responsible for ensuring the venue is safe and suitable for booth setup and for guest behaviour around the equipment.
To the extent permitted by law, the hirer agrees to indemnify Mischief & Memories against claims, loss or damage arising from venue conditions or guest actions, except where caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.
Design & Artwork
Design proofs are provided 5 business days prior to the event.
Up to four revisions are included.
Wedding Bookings
Wedding bookings follow the same cancellation and rescheduling terms.
Additional wedding inclusions may include:
Photo template design
Welcome signs
Audio guestbook signage
Final artwork should be approved at least 5 business days before the event.
Where requested, we will coordinate timing with the venue or wedding vendors to support your run sheet.
Audio Guestbook
Where an audio guestbook is included:
Setup instructions will be provided
Audio messages will be delivered digitally after the event
Guests should be aware their messages may be shared with the couple
Corporate & Brand Events
Invoicing
Approved businesses may request invoicing. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date, unless otherwise stated.
Purchase Orders
Where a PO number is required, it must be provided before the event.
Branding
Clients may provide logos or brand assets for templates or signage. We are not responsible for issues caused by low-resolution or unsuitable files.
Multi-Day Events
Expo or multi-day hire may include additional fees for:
Overnight storage
Idle time
Security requirements
Equipment will not be left operating unattended overnight unless agreed.
