Description

Our small heritage chapel was built in 1899 and thoughtfully restored as a place for celebrations.

While no longer a religious venue, it remains a place to gather — open to anyone wanting to host something meaningful in a beautiful, historic setting. Alongside the chapel is our amenities barn, offering a simple undercover option if needed, as well as a servery window for elegant serving of food and drinks.

Set on a quiet intersection among the rolling hills of Northern NSW, our chapel is a lightfilled, peaceful space. Original arched windows, timber floors, and hand-built details give it a warmth that feels both grounded and special — somewhere to slow down, connect, and celebrate. We’re located just outside Alstonville, a short drive from Ballina Byron Gateway Airport.

Our chapel is designed for small weddings and intimate ceremonies, and tends to resonate with couples who prefer something simple, personal, and genuine. It's a self-service venue, which means you’re free to shape the day in your own way, without restrictions on your choice of suppliers or caterers.

Venue hire includes exclusive use of the space, seating for up to 50 guests, access to the grounds, and use of the chapel’s ambient sound system. Everything else — from your celebrant to styling — is up to you. To keep things easy and relaxed on the day, guests arrive and depart by bus or coach, please discuss at the time of booking. We also have a small amount of on-site parking for accessibility needs and event staff

Secure your celebration date with a deposit of $1100, with the balance due 30 days prior.

Each hire is for a calendar day from 10 am to 10 pm inclusive of set up and pack down.

Our venue hire includes:

1 free self guided 30 min rehearsal (security deposit required)
Use of the grounds and chapel
Seating for 50 guests inside the chapel
Our built in ambient sound system (bluetooth)
Our record player which takes the place of a traditional piano, including 90 second Bridal Chorus on vinyl
Pre ceremony clean
Pre ceremony gardener
Post ceremony clean and rubbish removal

Special Requirements / Payment Terms

Secure your celebration date with a deposit of $1100, with the balance due 30 days prior. A $200 refundable security deposit is required for a free rehearsal at the venue.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

Within 48 hours of booking: full refund (cooling-off period)
After 48 hours and more than 30 days before the event: 100% of the deposit retained
Within 30 days of the event date: no refund

Sunday - Open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Monday - Open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Tuesday - Open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Wednesday - Open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Thursday - Open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Friday - Open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Saturday - Open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
